When using a wall power supply with a dummy battery.

Hi,

When you are using a DC coupler (dummy battery) with a household power supply, is there anyway to avoid the message on the screen telling you that it is not a real battery?

Also does this happen with a 550D as well as the 5d?

No, you can't skip it. And yes, it happens on every canon EOS camera. The only way is to use a "chipped" adapter
