A Red one for 4000 $ ?! Sounds too good to be true to me.

That's how much it should cost new. Who do all these guys think they are... right now you can buy a car for 4k or even a house if you get a foreclosed one.

ahm ..... i didnt say that ill be buying one. Im a poor student right now ;) I was just impressed with the fact that RED dropped the price from the Red one form 25000 to 4000 $ overnight. And thats not too far away form the 5D MKIII.

Once again as mentioned by nanomad, they are refurb ones.

Who knows what has been done to them before you buy them.

I just met the guys that shot the Red Bull Stratos. They're really rough on gear. Would you want one that may have seen -60 f.?

nanomad

You don't even imagine the collector value of a camera that has gone to space and back ::)

I've used a lot of used stuff... its no big deal to me. Its not like I'm paying 4k and they ship me a camera with knobs broken off. New stuff can and does break any time too.

very sexy price but the problemoooo is the EXTRA GEAR that you have to buy ...lets say about other 4000$ to make it run .......

Some people have a real problem with buying used stuff.
All of my gear has been used by somebody else before.
Refurbished doesn't mean it's going to detonate in your hands, all those kind of products are checked thoroughly prior to their new sale.
