Hi,

I followed the instructions on the PDF but the ML installation just does not work.
My complete setup is : Canon Rebel T3i (600D), Firmware 1.0.2, 64GB SDXC (transcend).
I tried the following steps a few times without success :

  • Checked firmware: 1.0.2
  • Low formatted my SD card from the camera (yes ticked the box)
  • Copied the entire content of ML 2.3 zip to the SD card root
  • Eject the SD card from my W8
  • Put the SD card to my camera
  • Turned it back ON
  • Went to Menu > Last tool icon > Firmware Ver 1.0.2 > Update : OK
Then, everytime I got the following error : Update file cannot be found. Please check the memory card and reload the battery and try again. The only way to turn it off it is remove the battery.

Thanks for your help!

Upload a screenshot of the content of the SD card, the folder structure is probably wrong ::)

i bet step 1 says that you can not install ML from 64 GiB cards directly ;)

Oh right, how could've I missed that? I thought I read it thoroughly, sorry.

So if I understood it correctly, I just need another (smaller) SD/SDHC card for the installation step? It will work with my 64GB once ML installed then?

Cheers,

Yes, you need a smaller card for the .fir to run and enable the bootflag on the camera (and that card), then you can use EOScard to actually install ML on the other card
