I've been messing around with ML today and I realized that I can't get my lens to go down to 1.8. It is the 50mm "nifty fifty" lens. When I disable Magic Lantern 2.3 and use my camera without then it will stop down to 1.8 but it will only go to 2.0 in Magic Lantern.

I have the latest firmware installed and the latest ML installed as suggested.

Has anyone else had this problem?

in what shooting mode?
from Canon menu or ml?

I am in video mode and I'm in the ML menu. When I try to stop it down to 1.8 it jumps over 1.8 and goes to the smallest aperture. It will only go to 2.0 in ML. If I disable ML by turning it on and holding Set then I can get my lens to stop down to 1.8.

My camera body is a Canon T3i all with the latest recommended firmware to run ML 2.3.

You can just change it from Canon menu.

It's a small bug, but quite hard to fix.

Cool. Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was something I was doing or what. Now I know it is a bug and not something with my lens or camera.

It has to do with how Canon approximates aperture steps - ML has to do the exact same approximation.

I had the same.

But for clarification: It does work in ML and LV (600D and with AV+Scroll-wheel).

It does not work in the ML menue, where you can use smaller steps. 2.0 ist max here for some reason.
