Hello!

I've got a problem with my 50D: A specific subject looks overexposed in LiveView but when i shoot a picture with the same settings, the final picture is exposed correctly. Can I solve this problem?

Sincerely, eightcore

Francis

Not sure if the 50D has Exposure Sim but if it does enable that. You can find it under the Expo ML menu. Set LV Display to 'Photo, ExpSim'

With exposures like 1/50 or 1/100 the difference is pretty small. But here's an example:

Preview:

Final photo with the same settings:

Other settings doesn't change anything (tried it with enabled and disabled ExpSim)

Is FPS override on?

I was wondering if it makes more sense to leave FPS override by default on just in movie mode and not in the others. I, for one, never actually used it outside of movie mode.

Outside movie mode, you can make LiveView usable for very dark scenes.

In recent source code, with expo override on and fps override on, you even get correct exposure simulation for very long exposures.
