Oh, the poor 7D2.  This is a really nice cam, with very weird hardware.  Dual Digic is quite different from other cams (it's even swapped around compared to 7D, the other major Dual Digic!).  Getting the installer working was, in particular, a struggle.

More features will be coming soon for this cam - there's a lot of small easy features that I'm fairly sure I can just enable...  but it takes time to test.

We have forced some raw video out of this cam, and the dual card slots mean it has potential.  But there are some hardware quirks that make this considerably more difficult than any other cam.

I would love to see focus peaking and zebras working on this camera

We already know how to get (hardware!) zebras on newer models, and what's best - that seems to allow both over and underexpo with different styles/thresholds visible at the same time.

This is not yet integrated, but definitely will be in future.

As for focus peaking, I don't think it was explored yet.

So I have used Magic Lantern on my 5Dmk3 and it's amazing, so I wanted to see if I could install ML on my 7Dmk2. I tried for several hours this evening and could not get it to work.

I upgraded my firmware to 1.1.2 and installed the ML Build for the 7Dmk2 no problem. However, the modules do not even show... except for bench.mo and I think file_man.mo. But all of the other ones do not, until I turn on "hidden modules".

After turning that option on and restarting the camera, I can now see all the modules. So I go on to turn on the modules for Dual ISO, Crop Record, MLV Raw Video, etc. but I keep getting error messages:

I've tried turning on and off different modules and even using modules from my 5Dmk3 ML install but no matter what, if I have any of modules on, I get these error messages.

Has anyone else run into this problem?
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I downloaded the main development branch build

My memory cards are:
* SD = SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB (200 MB/s V30)
* CF = SanDisk Extreme 64GB (120MB/s VPG-20 UDMA 7)

If anyone could share some guidance that would be fantastic because the 7Dmk2 normally has autofocus in its 1080p30 video mode whereas the 5Dmk3 does not have autofocus in it's video mode so getting this to work would allow me to do really good hybrid photo/video.

You actually got it working very quickly

The module error messages that you forced, indicate that the ML build doesn't support these modules yet.

Learn C, learn how 7D2 code works, and improve ML support.
