Is there any way to disable the shutter during taking photos?

I use my full-spectrum modded Canon 6D for astrophotography, where we regularly need to takes hundreds of calibration shots where the shutter is not needed (in fact, ideally it should be closed). Specifically, bias shots (very short exposure, like 1/4000s), and dark frame shots (long exposure). For bias, ideally I'd love to be able to make thousands of shots, as the bias signal is very weak (std around 1.3 ADU at ISO 1600), and the readout noise is pretty high (7.8 ADU at ISO 1600). Is there a way to disable the shutter, while doing all other steps when taking photos? Apparently the camera can do it, as when you enable long exposure noise suppression, the camera takes the second (dark) shot with the shutter closed. I searched around, and couldn't find the answer.

I don't believe it's known how to do this.  I expect it's possible, someone needs to spend lots of time working out how.  Investigating what long exposure noise suppression is doing could be a good starting point.

Thanks! I kind of hoped this was already cracked, oh well.
