EOS M Color Matching- Capture One Profile to Davinci Resolve- SUCCESS!!!

I found Capture One has the best color profiles for the EOS M, which even has a Prostandard one listed under Canon 7D (same sensor used). The colors seem more accurate then even Lightroom. The problem I am facing is trying to match Capture One's image exactly to Resolve's one. The same image was captured at full resolution movie mode with an image extracted from MLV in DNG form.

I took the same picture as a RAW CR2 file and compared the DNG image to see if Capture One matches the color exactly the same for both images and it does! This is exactly the same DNG image, but noticed there isn't enough orange in the concrete slabs which I tried to color match, but found when I increase the orange that the orange in the rest of the image becomes too saturated. Also the contrast is off in the resolve image as well. How do I go about color grading this?

You did a better job then what I could do, but the overall orange-yellow tones in the concrete slabs are missing. I wish the secret to capture's one profiles could be figured out.

I ran some other tests and noticed that the rich brown colors are missing on the images of musical instruments as well. There must be a way to do this without over-saturating the image.

it will close if you add more saturation to it..
if you notice, the two image has different color balance that why you can't just add saturation to make it match
I think try to edit same file from both editor and see the result..

You need to configure properly Resolve Color Management Color Space,Timeline Color Space, and Output Color Space, as well a choosing the Raw Profile of your shots, if you need help with that there is a free course on BMD website :

I finally found the best settings in Davinci to match the EOS M colors to Capture One's Prostandard profile! The colors are so close that a color chart is not necessary. Here is how I set up my color management profile. This was found through Cullen Kelly's  "Cheat Code for Setting up Color Management in Resolve" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgVqUATQSMg

(You don't have to set-up exactly this way, but understand you must set color science to "Davinci YRGB Color Managed" and "automatic color management" clicked off.)

Color Science:     "Davinci YRGB Color Managed"
Color Processing Mode:   "Custom"
input Color space:     "Same as Timeline" ("Bypass" in Davinci 17)
Timeline Color space: "Davinci WG/Intermediate"
Timeline Working Luminance:   "Custom - 10,000 nits"
Output Color Space:  "Rec.709 Gamma 2.4"
Input DRT:   "None"
Output DRT: "Luminance Mapping"

In Color Tab, right click each video clip to select "Bypass Color Management" which will automatically select "Bypass Input Color Space" as well.
In Camera Raw Tab select Decode Using "Clip"
-Select Color Space as "Blackmagic Design"

In HDR Color Wheels Set:
-Dark Wheel to -1 exp
-Global Wheel to 2 exp & 2 sat

As a side note, the DNG files that came from my smartphones using the Motioncam app needed to have a color chart to get the colors accurate. My Pixel 3a with a Sony sensor had a little more accurate colors then my Pixel 6 Pro with a Samsung sensor.

Any color chart can be used, but understand the color points in the vectorscope points will be different so use the new points in the capture one color chart profile as a reference.
