Factory overlay shows in live view.

I just installed v2.3 and had v2.2. With Global draw turned on in v2.2 the Canon overlay would not show on over of the ML display. After v2.3 every time I press the shutter button down, the Canon display on the bottom of screen shows up and covers up the ML info on the bottom of the screen. I cannot figure out how to have only the ML display show in live view. Any one know how to take care of this?
