RAW Video: When Quality Meets... Quantity?

Sub fam!

Space Invaders: So I knew RAW video would be big, but it's like trying to fit an elephant into a mini-fridge. 🐘❄️ How do you guys manage your storage? External drives, specific cards, cloud?
Editing Extravaganza: I took my first shot at editing RAW and it felt like I was in a foreign film without subtitles. What software do you recommend? Any specific Magic Lantern post-processing tools?

Any help will be good bro!

MLVapp + your preferred NLE.

Most straightforward possible RAW editing workflow (at least for me): MLVFS -> DaVinci Resolve

To solve storage issues, I'm personally doing something like: MLVFS / Adobe AfterEffect -> Camera RAW basic adjustments (WB etc) / appy ML LOG profile -> Apple ProRes export

In some specific situations, you'd better rely over MLVApp.

Your MLV2DNG Converter of choice -> SlimRaw -> Davinci Resolve.

DR will give you Realtime playback and even a cheap laptop will render your delivery at 40 fps.

Slimraw will compress down to 7:1 ratio and is blazing fast.

Other than that, storage on HDD’s is cheap today.
