Hi Guys,

First time poster here, my camera is almost a brick. I was using it last night to capture an image through a windows application and it hung. I tried to "safely remove" it from windows which did not work. So I powered down the laptop and the camera. When I turned on the camera I got a Error 70 on all modes except the C1, C2, C3 modes, so I can get to the menu

I have tried the following techniques without any success:
1. Removed battery and coin battery and left it overnight
2. Reformatted the CF card
3. Changed the settings for the C1, C2, C3
4. Tried solution 0, 0.5 of http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/unbricking

I've run out of my technical knowledge of the Magic Lantern and Canon, can someone please assist me?

Error Log:

Hello all,

I have the similar problem with 5D Mark ii.
The crash log shows:
ASSERT: FALSE
at BurstMgr.c:172, task RscMgr

and the my log file is under this link:
allegro.ventis.com.pl/log003.log

I read about this error on another topic with canon 60D, and there is possibility to clear camera settings but you need modified autoexec.bin with assertions disabled.
Could somebody send us a modified autoexec.bin (with disabled assertions) for canon 5D Mark ii to try this solution.
My e-mail is : [email protected]

I tried to compile ML by myself but I failed during installing tools for compilation.

I will be grateful for any help.

Regards Krzysztof

Have you tried clearing camera settings from Canon menu?

kitor

If it doesn't help, send me your ROM backups via PM.
Too many Canon cameras.
If you have a dead R, RP, 250D mainboard (e.g. after camera repair) and want to donate for experiments, I'll cover shipping costs.

Just for worst case: How good are your soldering skills or do you have a hardware nerd/maker community around?
