I just tried 3x3 modes, 14bit lossless, card spanning off, sd card overclocking off (I tried both on, the same results for the 1080p 60 fps):

Canon Q menu ALL-I 1920x1080p 24p mode, 1920x1280p, 3x3, 24 fps, 55 MB/s, continuous, green
Canon Q menu ALL-I 1920x1080p 30p mode, 1920x1280p, 3x3, 30 fps, 70 MB/s, continuous, green
Canon Q menu ALL-I 1280x720p 60p mode, 1920x672p, 3x3, 60 fps, 75 MB/s, continuous, yellow
Canon Q menu ALL-I 1280x720p 60p mode, 1920x1080p 50 fps preset, 85 MB/s, 5 seconds, red, automatically off
Canon Q menu ALL-I 1280x720p 60p mode, 1920x1080p 60 fps preset, red, several seconds, automatically off

I assume that for 1920x672p, I need to destretch to get 1920x800p.
1920x1080p 60 fps at ar 2.4 supposes to work, it is 120 MB/s.

The reason that I am interested in 1080p vista vision mode, is that the lcd is realtime color and can output through hdmi to evf, and can go to 60 fps. At 24 fps or 30 fps, I can turn off the card spanning and sd card overclocking, so that there is no potential risk of overheating. The system is very robust in these modes. These modes are good for doc, news, events, corporate interview, etc.

A window popped up on the LCD and messages are rolling, something like memory allocating etc.

<sigh>Make a vid using another cam and share it.

OK. I tried again now with this approach.
First, card spanning off, sd card overclocking off, 1080p 60 fps preset, red, about 9 seconds, stopped automatically, no error message
Second, card spanning on, sd card overclocking off, 1080p 60 fps preset, red, about 5 seconds, stopped automatically, no error message
Third, card spanning on, sd card overclocking on 160 mhz (needs sd card reformat and camera restart), 1080p 60 fps preset, red, about 3 seconds, stopped automatically, error message window out.
Allocated 105 slots
Fail info: (16382 16382 6501 3693) (127 151 182)
Then rolling like
Overexposure fix
Black 5/5: stdev too large
Black 4/5: stdev too large
Black 3/5: stdev too large

CF card: Sand Disk Extreme Pro 160 MB/s 128 GB
SD card: San Disk Extreme Pro 170 MB/s 128 GB

I use the same cards for card spanning and sd card overclocking in 3.5k 1x1 raw, no issue.

Just tried Canon Q menu IPB 1280 60p mode, card spanning on, sd card 160 mHz, the recording time was a little bit longer, even there was yellow after the initial red, but the error message came out again.

Just did some further investigation.
Sorry, the rolling pop up window is actually script console. I try to turn it off and restart the camera. If I push the record button for 60 fps, it still pops up.
In 1920x1080p 60 fps mode, the ml menu calculates as 87 MB/s, yet the camera can only do 70 MB/s in this mode. Maybe the 60 fps requires a lot of internal memory? Tried 14 bit, 12 bit, 10 bit, 10 bit is more than 10 seconds. AR only allows 2.39, cannot do 16:9.

1080p 50 fps is much better. In 10 bit 14 bit lossless, ML calculates 84 MB/s for the data flow, and the camera can do 86 MB/s, so the color is green. I recorded for more than a minute, the indicator is always green, yet the console screen comes out automatically, but the recording is still on. AR can go up to 2 in 50 fps mode too.
I guess somehow 1080p 60 fps is not optimized enough. Just my 2 cents. Thanks a lot, everyone.

just tested here, same thing, about 10 seconds recording then console shows up with this same messages (btw, preset 1080p 40fps does the same thing)
I guess its not the speed since even 3.5K at +130mb/s is continuous

perhaps exposure?

I've seen some post about the amount of details of the scene, blurry (and slight out of focus) scenes requires less mb/s

Also, if the problem is the write speed then reducing 8-10 bit should be enough, but isn't
