I am using the BM software to capture a h.264 mov on my Canon 50D.

It's working and the video quality is decent, but i'm getting a-lot of shifting exposure in the video.

Excuse me if it isn't a black magic problem/issue.. but is there a setting to lock all settings for video so ISO doesn't change?

Cheers

Try this: Start recording, press * button once. Report back.

Thanks Walter, That in combination with the exposure setting in ML worked a treat. Appreciate it

One technique that can help prevent these changes is by locking the ISO setting.

You can manually set the ISO value before recording to keep it constant throughout the recording. Additionally, using the manual exposure mode gives you more control over the camera settings. However, it's worth noting that exposure shifts in videos may not be a BM issue as mentioned. The automatic exposure setting may be adjusting the ISO value based on the lighting conditions in the scene.

Thus, turning off the automatic exposure setting can eliminate unexpected changes in your video's exposure.
