70d 4k and full hd 60fps ArcziPL build

I have a few questions if You would like to help plz. Couldn't find info that i need in posts and in wiki as well^^

1. How to turn on 4k video rec? I'm getting info from menu that max resolution 3456x1318 when i click zoom to get into crop mode

2. When I'm using crop mode, does it mean that i can't record in wide angle of view? It will be cropped? For my work i need a super wide angle 100°+

3. I'v read that 60fps full hd is possible with that ArcziPL's build is possible but dunno how to make it works 🤔

Requires 9.4 mm focal length uncropped and around 7 mm for 4k DCI and less for lower resolutions.

Condition not met -> No use for further discussion. ML won't suit your needs.

Thank You Walter for answer but according to my knowledge and calculator i have around 100° with Canon cropped sensor + 10-18mm lens that I'm using in 10mm position.

   

Anyway i was just asking about magic lantern how it works. If it's really cropping video or it's just view in live view. Looks like it's just on live view...as in my question 1 and 3

But still don't know how to turn on 4k and full hd 60fps

Crop is crop.

I find diagonal pictures difficult to frame and using it for movies will confuse average recipients.
I rely on regular landscape/portrait orientation for stills and landscape for video.

For the sake of argument: In 4k mode your diagonal FOV will be quite below 100 degrees and my statement still applies.

PS: In video mode you won't get 106 degrees. Calculation is for 3:2 stills and therefore not valid for video.

Totally agree would be hard to frame it  unless You know Your camera that much that You don't have to look on the screen what You recording.

Ok looks like i have to forget about 4k but at least 60fps full hd is possible somehow?  I saw people posting some clips. Could You please explain how to turn it on? I tried fps overwrite but seems like I'm doing something wrong

In ArcziPL description there isn't even info about higher resolution that full hd but there is an option in that build.

4k 50 fps fake? That would be more than enough for me ... Don't even need 14bit.

Slowmo: Is this shot in raw at all? According to discussion it was shot in 720p60 and blown up in post.
First one is fishy, too.

OK Walter forgive me I'm not that good as You and I'm just trying to find the solution. I don't need even raw video.

4k is possible.
60 fps is possible.
But not both together at the same time using 70D.

Ever heard of Twixtor?


And don't forget 70D was introduced August, 2013.
