Dear all,

Using a 5D Mark III, I want to use motion detection for animal photography.
In my first test, this worked fine with a bright subject, where the image is clearly visible on the camera screen.
Nevertheless I want to use a speedlite in order to shoot at low ISO, high speed and small aperture. With these parameters, the camera scrren is black, displaying an exposure of 0 and new exposure of zero. When half pressing the shutter, I get a new exposure of 50 (for example) and then a shot is taken immediately before the screen turns back to black again.

Is there any way/trick to make motion detection work in this condition?

Thanks!
