Dear fellow magicians, it's a been a while since my last post...
But a few weeks ago I finally had the opportunity to dust off my magic 5D again.

I'm still amazed by the results I get with this modest setup:

Hardware:

  • 5D Mark III
  • Yashinon-ds 50mm 1.9
ML settings:

  • 10 bit
  • 59.94 fps override
  • 1440x672 -> 1440x1200
Workflow:

  • MLVFS
  • Davinci
  • Premiere/After Effects
  • MediaEncoder
Neither a tripod nor a gimbal was used, all of the clips where shot handheld on my skates.
More detailed insights about my workflow can be found in my last posts.

Enjoy and feel free to comment or criticize!

Thanks again to the magic lantern community for making all of this even possible!

Skinny

wow, initially I thought it was shot using a steadicam. I can hardly see any stabilizer artefacts. do you mind sharing your handheld technique?
