Firmware question EOS 500D

I will install ML on my EOS 500D this coming week.
(still waiting for a decent SD-card and new batteries)

The firmware on my camera is actually 1.1.2.
The ML version for my EOS 500D is 1.1.1.

Do I still have to downgrade the firmware on my EOS 500D to get ML to work or will this not affect the installation...?
