I am able to download 1.0.2 from the Canon site but  it seems the downloadsdoes not seem to work. Other than the .pdf's there is one file ending in .fir that my Mac does not recognize or able to open. The file that is downloaded is not a .zip as is indicated on the Canon site. I've tried in Safari, Firefox and Chrome - all same results. I also down loaded to an older OS than mine on my partners Mac. Same problem. Any suggestions? Thnx! Michael

Canon offers DMG for macOS users and ZIP for Windows.
ZIP works for macOS, too.

There is nothing written in any docu about opening a FIR. You have to copy it, nothing more, nothing less.
Please follow instructions as written in Canon's PDFs.
