Canon 500D Black Frame

Hi there. Im using  Lua Firmware. However, there are black frames in the image transferred to the computer. How can I fix this? The Magic Lantern version did not have this problem.

I think you refer to "Magic Lantern" = Main/Unified/Nightly Build. Lua_fix build is nightly build + some enhancements. So I'm wondering what you have seen with Nightly Build. ATM Magic Lantern has only one option for HDMI resolution manipulation and that is "Force HDMI-VGA". Please retest and show a screenshot of your HDMI output with Main/Unified/Nightly Build.

I am facing the same problem with my 650D, per attached screenshot. In this youtube tutorial for the setup this issue does not seem to be a problem. I run the same firmware (i.e. 1.0.4 and magic lantern version).

Help is very much appreciated!

If there is a black frame it blends perfectly with black background ...
