How to uninstall ML from 5D MarkIII 1.2.3 nightly?

I'm so freaked out to brick my camera just because I want to uninstall ML from my 5D MarkIII and I cannot figure out how to do it...

There are so many tutorials and youtube videos that supposedly show how it's done but I cannot get it to work.

I currently have the 1.2.3-ml-Nightly.2 as a firmware showing up.

I though I could remove ML just by running the original 1.2.3 firmware which I copied to the SD card, but after the flashing everything stayed the same.

I would hugely appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction how this is done correctly?

I was also afraid of downloading the latest firmware 1.3.6 as it states it requires 1.3.5 to installed. So I thought I need to start at 1.2.3 and then work my way up.
