Hi, I'm new here, just installed magic lantern in my cannon 700d and found that there's no trap focus function. Have read all related info I can found in the forum.

The method below(for AF lens, cover a pin on the lens) works only at wide open aperture(cannot transmit message of aperture?). I'm wondering if there's a way to use trap focus when setting lens to AF mode, making the focus motor unable to recieve message from 700d but still able to control the aperture. Maybe some modification within magic lantern or a chip in front of the lens? I also want to read some source code about it but don't know how to start.

Thanks!

QuoteFocus confirm is something we can't just do right now because is missing from the Canon side, or at least I couldn't find the appropriate memory area.

Flickering is tricky because there's no proper vsync hook

QuoteThere is a way to enable trap focus for 650D (no Trap Focus, too) without ML. See  http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=3697.msg44640#msg44640
Hope it works with 700D. EDIT: Doesn't work with lens stopped down. Err01
