The new debayering algorithm in resolve 17 works wonders with 5D3 3x3 footage!
It's so great that I no longer use other modes.
Real time correct preview is another treat!
Everyone with a 5D3 needs to try this.  I hope someday mlvapp will be able to debayer this well!
Seriously, this is a whole new lease on life for the 5D3.  I wonder if the 5D4 has a similar 3x3 mode?  Imagine what it could do with that improved sensor...

Nice footage, 70MM13, but if you think that Resolve 17 does a better job than MLVApp, it would be appropriate to provide a few comparative examples - frame grabs from the same clip next to each other for visual comparison.  Also, please film a highly detailed wide angle scene and let us see how both algorithms debayer it - aliasing, finest detail, tone transitions, etc.

I use DR for many years and never heard of "new debayering algorithm in resolve 17". Yes, somewhere in version 12 they made it really up to competitors, but since than i've seen nothing worth mentioning in this regard. And yes, open source algorithms implemented in MLVApp are top notch. What are you talking about? Where was that announced?

the resolve image looks darker because of the hdr workflow.  ignore that, it's the same frame.

i'm just sharing useful information.
