Camera LiveView to HDMI Out (5Dmk3)

I must be missing something simple, but I cannot figure out how to get a signal on my monitor from HDMI out.

When I plug the HDMI cable in, the camera recognizes as much and disables the LCD. The monitor, however, still reports no signal.

To be clear: I want to use camera mode live view for focus peaking / focus stacking preview. If this is not possible, please let me know.

Are there specific settings that need to be enabled that are not on by default?

I am running 1.2.3 with the most recent luafix build from hg (pulled/built 6/05/21).
