Hi

My camera monitor which is 4K capable is only showing a cropped image (quite heavily cropped) from my eos m with magic lantern. Is this a camera / magic lantern setting or a monitor setting? Can’t seem to find anything on the monitor.

"Camera monitor"? HDMI?
EOS M will deliver 1620x1080 in photo mode and 1620x912 in video mode. Embedded in 1080i60 HDMI stream.
