Hello y'all,

thanks and praises for the wonderful software that is ML. Love it so far!  :)

I have one  issue though, maybe you can help point me to the right direction:

Cam: Canon 100D / Rebel SL1
SW: magiclantern-lua_fix.2020Dec28.100D101

I try to use it as a webcam with a capture card on my mac (hackintosh). The 100D gives out clean HDMI without a problem.

If I hook it up to my TV, it gives me a proper 1080i 60Hz image with black bars to the left and the right like it should.
under "Image buffers" it says 1920*1080, 1620*639.

when I try to connect it to my capture card (which works fine with other sources) however, it stays in a low resolution with black bars left, right, top & bottom. Under "Image buffers" it says 720*480,960*639.

is there any way to force my 100D to the 1920*1080, 1620*639 mode, regardless what is on the other end of the HDMI cable?

thank you in advance
regards from Cologne, Germany

after testing everything I could think of for days I finally sound a solution online: one have to trick the camera into thinking it is connected to a 1080p display. obviously the capture cards waits for the camera to tell it it's output resolution, but the camera needs the hdmi to tell it that it can output 1080... or something like that (:

anyway this is the workaround: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJmIKzy43IY&t=117s

the questions remaines if there is a way to force the live view resolution output to 1080 by software?

thanks in advance!
