Hey guys, I took a shot at trying the 6D Raw capabilities at a live event after spending many hours recently learning as much as I could about getting the most of out the camera. I've put all the info below about my process. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can improve/streamline my setup then please let me know. Also happy to try answer any questions about my setup choice.

- 10bit Raw Video at 23.976fps (1824x1026) & 59.94fps (1824x616) 16:9 using the Canon ALL-I settings. Footage was upscaled to 1080p in Resolve. The 59.94fps footage had a little tweaking to reach this, so once imported it was interpreted to 23.976fps to create the slow motion. The PIxel Aspect Ratio was changed from Square to 35mm Full Aperture HD Anamorphic and the vertical scale was changed to x1.23 to fit the 1080p frame.

- sd_uhs module was used to push the Sandisk Extreme Pro 170mb/s 64gb cards as far as they can go. Continuous recording was achieved in 1824x1026 at 54mb/s in 10bit with sound enabled, focus peaking and Real-Time liveview. For 59.94fps I could achieve between 7-9secs of recording at 57mb/s. I filmed approx 70mins of footage and filled almost 3 64gb cards.

- Round-trip from Resolve into Premier Pro. Rather than working with proxies I was happy with the output from the Rec709 so I edited these directly in Premier after an export from Resolve to a high quality MOV format, then I added a very minimal amount of grading in Premier. The festival was quite poorly lit so I really pushed the ISO on the camera often shooting 6400, but mostly at 3200 and fully open aperture on each lens. The camera handled this really well and I didn't use any form of Noise Reduction.

- Lenses used: Rokinon (Samyang) 35mm f/1.4, Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM & Canon 24-100 f/4L IS USM.

Filmed and edited by Tom Potten.

Looks great, where can you get the sd uhs module for the 6d?
