Someone had to go sooner or later with so many conventions and so many moving to way cheaper online shows or presentations. Even more so now with corona.
I think it was last year that Canon decided not to attend Photokina, because Canon had attended another convention like a month before where they announced some new products, so attending Photokina a month later with nothing new was not in their interest.
Its a damn shame though. I much prefer the real thing than all this virtual bs. But pros will always prefer the physical thing, a pro wants to touch the product and feel it, releasing a spec sheet just isn't the same.
