Is reduced aliasing possible in without too much cropping?

Currently not available in most builds (only available for 5D2) = 3x1

No. Reading all lines -> no moiree. Reading each 3rd line -> moiree.

Not when rewired into mv1080p on eosm(uncropped that is). Then it´s regular mv1080p 3x3  .

Officially Movie crop mode meant to give x3 crop in H.264 video which is 1:1, on EOS M we are patching MCM 1:1 to mv1080p 3x3 to get proper un-stretched preview, EOS M stays at mv720p when Idle (when not recording H.264), so we need to patch it to mv1080p to be able to record RAW video in 3x3 mv1080, on other cameras like 650D/700D MCM is 1:1, which is cropped
