Hello all!

I've had my 5D3 with ML since 2013 and I've played around with Raw video before raw_rec 2.0 even existed. I haven't dabbled with video in years tho, and now I want to start shooting again. For the life of me I CANNOT figure out what settings I need to achieve proper raw 1920x1080p at 48 FPS, which I am lead to believe is possible by the following release note for the 4K raw rec build:

1920x1080 @ 45p and 48p (3x3 binning)

I hope to shoot a mix of 24p and 48p footage this weekend but again I cannot figure out how the heck to get the high speed frame rate! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried shooting in 10bit? Change to fps override and put it at 48fps

This raw calculator says you'll only get about 9fps shooting 48p anyway at 1080p in 10bit: https://rawcalculator.netlify.app/calculator_desktop

@Ravegreen

You need a special build for that.
It's on the experimental downloads page:
https://builds.magiclantern.fm/experiments.html

Scroll down to the '4K raw video recording; lossless compression' builds.

Once you have downloaded and copied that build to your card, you need to enable the needed modules.
For lossless compression you need to enable mlv_lite module and NOT mlv_rec module.
Lossless compression option is in the raw video menu (sub menu where you also set recording resolution).
For high fps and high resolution stuff, you need to enable the crop_rec module.
With the crop_rec module enabled, you get an extra option in the raw video menu tab, where you can select your desired preset, for instance 1920x1080@48fps.

Is 10bit lossless working in that build for that preset. Don't think it will. My build will reduce it to 10bit though, but different story. Also fixes the zoom in bug in 48fps.

You're right, 10 bit lossless will probably not work in that build.

I replied more to the first post, not so much to the second.
I read the first post and interpret it as:
I want to record 1920x1080 in 48 fps, but have no clue how, can't find the option in ML.
(Which is very likely to happen if one not has the right ML build and didn't enable crop_rec module)
