Traveling from the blue waterfalls of Kuang Si to the ancient ruins of Angkor. 5000km in 5 weeks. Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia you were wonderful.
All shot on Canon 5DmkIII with Magic Lantern Firmware version 1.1.3 (2 years ago).
Hope you like it!

I like to thank you all for the help I had from this forum to get the magic lantern hack working on my 5DmkIII.
Even tho I am no active member I learned alot just by reading.
Big up to the engineers that created the firmware as well as the members that provide the information!

Nice shots! Although I don't feel any "storytelling" as it could make this video even more interesting. Nevertheless, great job, nice video for your memories  ;)

Did you travel backpacking? What gear did you use - 5d + one versatile zoom lens, or smth else?

Yes Backpacked for 5 weeks. Used the canon 24-70mm zoom lens with variable nd filter.

Was is f4 with IS option or a regular 2.8 one?

Wonderful editing.

How did you rig up your camera? Very smooth shots.

I always made sure to shoot on f2.8 and shutter 1/50th (because I was shooting 25fps),
that's why I used a variable nd filter.
I wanted the have the shallowest depth of field possible with this lens,
even tho it's less sharp full open.

Thank you!
I just used the strap of the camera around my neck, and made sure I was in a good position before hitting the record button.

Great combo.
Asking about lens I meant: was it 2.8 version or f4 version with Image Stabilization which is much smaller and lighter lens for travelling though it's darker..
I'm thinking to buy a small all around zoom lens for traveling but 2.8 version seems to heavy for me. I'm really considering 24-70 f4 IS or maybe smth RF in future.
