Hello all,

I was on the Canon support website for the 1dx mark iii. I saw the file "Copyright of the third party software included in this product" in the Manuals section of the support. The file contains copyright notices for the following software:

Linux Kernel
busybox
Marvell USB8997 Driver
odhcp6c
arping
Wireless Tools for Linux
rng-tools
procps-ng
iptables
hostdriver-module
ethtool
attr
ca-certificates
u-boot-qoriq
util-linux
sysvinit-inittab
netbase
Linux Standard Base
lsbinitscripts
init-ifupdown
initscripts
base-files
sysvinit
libpam

Does this mean that the new camera runs Linux internally, and does it mean anything for us users?

Not sure but I know this is probably the wrong place to ask. Magic Lantern has a super hard stance on anything relating to 1D's historically.

Don't know what is running Linux, but at least it isn't using systemd!

We don't work on any canon pro camera (1DC ,1DX markii & iii) , no exception.

Doesn't matter that ML isnt gonna work on it, this is still interesting.
