Hi, this is my first post. First off all: Thank you all who spend their time and money to this project. You are great.
I couldn't find a answer to this question or I searched for the wrong keywords...

The backround is: For my Super 8 telecine project I need the AV out from my 5D3 to synchronise my Bauer T502 projector with the camera. When I connect the AV out cabel, the internal monitor turns off and I can't control the brightness and don't know what happens in the film.
The AV out is not connected really with a monitor, only the signal is used to synchonise the projector. With the HDMI it's the same: When I connect the camera to a external monitor the AV out gets disconnected.
Is there a chance to keep both running?

Firmware 1.1.3 does not support Dual monitor feature. 1.2.3 does.

Go into the canon menu and change the mirror hdmi settings.

Thanks, but the problem is the same: I need the AV out, when I connect it the monitor turns off. The HDMI signal can't give me the signal I need to synchonise the projector.

Sorry, can't help here.
Dev g3gg0 once offered help for another such project suggesting LED for sync.
