Hi Guys,

I'm relatively new to ML and love it from the very first moment. Great stuff!!!

Before I got ML I used to do timelapses manually. My standard timelapse would be in range of 1 to 3 sec between shots. It quite worked for me but I always hated extensive use of shutter. As soon as I got ML I was very excited about filming at down to 0,2fps. It would perfectly match my needs and produce ready movie file which in many cased when no cropping expected is very welcome. Moreover it would not use shutter or mirror going up and down.

To a bit of my surprise this does not work as I expected. Say I need 1 fps timelapse. I'm in 'M' mode, set 1 fps in ML, can change stop value but cannot change exp time. I was hoping for say: 1 fps, f=8, t=1/160s but get shutter times in range of 1/3 sec in best case.

Is there any way to do it or for reason unknown for me it is just not possible? I know I can use intervalometer but if possible I would prefer movie mode.

Would appreciate any info on this.

Best!

I have the same issue and problem, actually. Did you ever resolve this?

Low framerates in FPS override have fixed shutterspeeds. To compensate exposure adjust Iris/f stops and ISOs.

In daytime, this is tough as even at iso100 it would still be bright even if lens is closed down, I recommend a VARI-ND.
