HDMI mirroring with clean HDMI signal output also in photo mode

Hi,

"HDMI mirroring options allow you to continue using the touchscreen LCD panel while outputting a clean HDMI signal"

this is a phantastic feature, however it is only available in video mode. Working with a field monitor in photo mode is a big headache without this feature.

It seems all Canon cameras are affected by this limitation. There seems to be no technical reason because in video mode it is working.

Would it be possible to enable clean HDMI signal output also in photo mode with Magic Lantern?
