Hi

Does anyone has tips how to save power during a day to night timelaps? I'm using an eos 550d with batterygrip.
I did a day to night timelaps last evening and it almost worked. But after about 300 pictures the battery was dead.
I did lower the lcd-brightness in the canon menu.
Are there more things I can adjused to save power? Or perhaps I have to buy new batteries.

Thanks!

Robert

See the ML user guide.

A battery grip will also help a lot.

Found it. Will try it this evening.

When not in LiveView, press DISP or INFO to turn the display off.

Any luck Rob?

I've tried this with my 5D mark II and T2i and when auto bulb ramping the LCD always comes on during ML's exposure calibration. Even with two fresh batteries and LCD down all the way, I still don't make it through the night.

How to turn off LCD completely during auto bulb ramping?
