Hi there,

It's my first post here, I have been reading and researching a lot on this forum to achieve my goal but I am stuck for now and may need some help.

I am trying to digitalize Super 8 film using the Eos-m. I have a projector that can run at different speeds, including low speeds (around 7fps). There is a hall sensor mounted in it that could send a trigger signal to the camera for each picture running in the projector.

I want to have the camera recording a single MLV file with each pictures triggered by the projector.

I installed the crop_rec_4k build for Eos-m. By setting the Rec trigger to Half-shut:1frame and activating Silent Picture / Simple, I can start a record by pressing the Rec button and then each frame is recorder by pressing the Half-Shutter button. This is the best way I found to have decent FPS.

This is really promising but I now need to trigger the shutter with the Audi RemoteShot as the Eos-m doesn't have a remote port. I couldn't find a way to do it after trying lots of different settings and builds. Sending a signal to the mic input only start the record but the picture counter stay at zero. Only pressing the Shutter button physically seems to be able to capture the single frames of the video.

Does someone know any settings or experimental build that I missed that could solve my problem?

Many thanks in advance

some readings :

I was inspired by the project of Miket :

he used a 5dMarkIII which have a remote port.

This is with the Eos-m and silent mode but using the FullRes option which can be triggered by the AudioRemoteShot but is extremely slow.
