My wife borrowed the MKiii for a shoot. She took the SD firmware card out and turned it on ( so she says ). I put the firmware sd back in an it gets an error now, cant get it to start. Is it bricked? or is there a solution. Thanks

Maybe a stupid question and you have possibly already tried   :P
But what happens if you start up the camera without any memory cards in it?
And if you put the memory card with ML on it in your computer, is there an autoexec.bin file and a directory called ML on the card ?
I can imagine that one of these two is accidentally deleted from card when moving pictures from card to the pc.

Autoexec.bin is there for sure.
Rename ML directory (if any) and copy extracted nightly build files to card again.
Remove battery, insert card and insert battery. Close compartment doors.
Report back results.
