So I'm hoping to use my 60D as a backup camera at my wedding, (NOT the main, just the backup). I installed Magic Lantern, and changed the QScale to -1. It recorded 30 minutes, then stopped. Video size was 1.70 gigs, so well under the 4gig buffer.

Is there a way to increase the time further? 30 minutes will be cutting it close...

Thanks!

Both stop recording, filesize 4 GB limit or 29 minutes limit. If you use two cameras, why not just use auto movie restart? Or does it not work on 60D?

So no way past the 29 minute limit?

Hmm... guess auto restart recording will have to do it then! :)

The team is working on it: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=1652

There even is a test binary for 60D, but nothing stable I would recommend for a job yet...

Thanks for the info!

I think I'm going with the following set up (Kinda doing a self shot wedding, have a photographer and backup photographer, but no videographer).

Main Video Camera front and center.
60D Backup someplace off sides, for alternate view.
iphone (Hey, 720p at pretty decent quality!) as a 3rd camera behind us, semi-hidden from view, but getting another shot for cutting in.

Audio is being handled by the church, so I don't need to worry about that.

Should be fun! :D
