Removing Data from Live View

Can ML remove the data stream from live view?

Well from what I've been told, when you export a the video signal to an external device from a Canon 5dmrk2, there's camera data that gets exported with that signal and is shown on the screen of that external device.

In my case I am going to be bringing in HDMI signal from the camera into my computer and then I'm going project the camera's live feed through a projector. What I've been told is that the camera data will get projected with the video feed. I've also heard that Magic Latern can remove that data from the live feed. And I'm wondering if that's true?
