Hi, new MagicLantern user here. I recently bought a used Canon 7D in hopes of shooting RAW video. Turns out that CF to MicroSD adapters are the absolute worst thing for ML, and the speed is capped at 20mb/s. I'll be buying a SanDisk Extreme Pro later on, and refunding the SD and adapter. But this is beside the point.

With MagicLantern Build Ver. 2018.Jul03 installed, the Canon 7D does not have a function for live audio monitoring. I did buy a USB to RCA cable, and an RCA to 3.5mm. Audio worked fine, but the display went black. Is there a module I'm missing somewhere that I need to turn on? Or has it been disabled until (hopefully) ver. 2.0.6?

For those of you who want a solution immediately, I found a nifty way that circumvents ML entirely. You connect your microphone to a female to female 3.5mm adapter. Then connect the 3.5mm to a 3.5mm male to two 3.5mm female splitter. One cable plugs from the splitter to the camera, and the other to an AMP. This AMP is absolutely necessary for most microphones. Then you can plug the amp into your headphones. This effectively splits the audio signal, boosts it through the AMP so you can hear it, and sends it to the camera as well.

https://builds.magiclantern.fm/features.html -> Audio -> HEADPHONE_MONITORING not supported in 7D. Same in 2.0.6.
