Hello,

I need to work sometimes with the crop mode, because of the zooming :) I have a 5D M3 and tried already to record with the crop mode and raw.

Is it possible, that I record into H264, so I can handle the file? I guess no...

Or is it possible to convert the files on an IPAD, so I can use the files than in video editing programs on an IPAD.

I need a workflow for run&gun, so I don't have the time to open after effects, camera raw and so on. It has to be on the iPad.

Or what can I else do to work with a crop mode?

thx

Why don't you shoot in H.264 and crop in post?

If you are talking about the plain 1080p 3x crop mode...

- it works with both H.264 and RAW

and that applies to any camera running crop_rec, as long as Canon's original resolution is not modified.

Ok thanks. Crop mode is perfect.

Now I have another problem. Many times I get now the error 70 and have to shut down the camera.

For work it is very dangerous when a clip is not recorded.
What can be the reason?
Also RAW recording problems. It starts to record but it doesn't stop. There is standing stopping, but nothing happens. The card is a new komputerbay 1066x 128GB CF card.magic lantern runs over sd card.

There are over 1000 different causes for ERR70. Check the crash logs.

If you load just crop_rec and record H.264, with default ML settings, do you get any errors?

Hallo. I tested now without the raw module.
No problems.

But when I load the raw module the record don't stops.

With the other version there was no problems.

Option
Movie -> Movie Tweaks -> Movie Restart ON
set? Disable it and retry.

is that not for recording more than 30 minutes?
And the problem is the stopping not the starting ;)
