I read as much about magic lantern features before registering and read stickies and manuals but cannot get the following answers.

1) Canon disabled continuous video through HDMI port in order not to pay camcorder TAX. Go figure about how senseless taxes stifles development.
Question: Is it possible with magic lantern to bypass the built in time limits etc so that you can record video externally from the HDMI port of a 5DII. It would be great if the internal SD card is not used at all avoiding the 2GB file limit.

2) If the Canon 5DII (which I have) cannot do unlimited video, which other brand or model can?
I dont have money for a $1000000 movie camera.

Thanks

I guess this forum is as dead as a doornail.

1. HDMI is continuous. Time limit is on internal recording. Also ML raw records as long as the card allows, splitting in to separate files.

2. Any camcorder that doesn't cost $1000000

Your questions are as dead as a doornail.
