So I just tried crop_rec with mlv_lite on the experimental build with lossless compression and the result is amazingly sharp almost perfect video but the resolution is only 1824x634 which is too narrow, cant the vertical resolution be increased?

Why is the vertical resolution limited to 634 with crop_rec on the 6D?

Sounds like you have downloaded the crop_rec_4K experimental build for 6d.
I'm not sure, but as I remember correct, there is only one crop mode preset available in this build.
This only preset is for use in Canon 720p 50fps mode, it gives you square pixels  instead of the stretched ones you get otherwise.
Because of the 50 fps, the vertical resolution is maxed at 634 pixels.

Did you know, that without crop_rec activated you can get higher resolutions in 5x zoom mode?
Go into 5x zoom mode with the magnify button, now use trash can button to enter ML menu, go to raw video menu and select resolution.
Resolution can now be set to 2688 x 960 maximum. (you can adjust it in smaller steps with the scroll wheel on your camera)
This works standard, without any crop_rec module or preset activated.
This means it can be also be used with the 12 bit lossless and lower bit depth recording modes.

If you want even more resolution you need the crop_rec module.
There isn't an official one for 6d, but I have made some presets for the 6d.
