Hi all,

finally decided that this post should be the least out of order in this subforum. If I'm wrong, please forgive me (as I'm new here), and whoever has the rights to do so, push it where it belongs.

Tried the search, but couldn't find anything relating close enough to my question, so here it is: I have a full spectrum converted EOS M, and I want to use this camera with ML in order to create a time lapse of an oncoming eclipse of the Moon (end of July this year). The full spectrum part is irrelvant for these pictures (I'll use external filters), but that's the only body in my small collection that will, with ML, handle time lapse recording.

My problem is now that, in the course of the conversion, the sensor cleaning assembly was removed, which means I may not switch on automatic (or use manual) sensor cleaning under any circumstances. Is this likely going to be a problem when booting from ML, or can I leave this setting unmodified between the regular firmware and ML?

Bye
  Markus

P.S.: If any astro photographers happen to stumble across this post: anything wrong with my idea of filtering back to visible spectrum for a lunar eclipse, or can there anything be gained from taking these pictures in IR or UV?
