What settings to get the most out of 70d HDMI?

I want to record the output of my 70d's HDMI port, but what settings can I use to max out the output? Will ML improve on what the 70d is capable of on it's own? I'll be recording to SSD via BMD Intensity Pro 4K card. Thanks in advance for any tips.
