Installed but not doing anything.

I have installed the 2.3 version onto my 5d mark ii firmware 2.1.2. Prior to installation I reset the camera to factory settings. The ML software appears to be installed (I get the green/black success screen & can see the menu by pressing trash icon) - however it doesn't seem to do anything. For example - if I select 'focus peak' in the menu and switch it on when, I return to 'Live view' there are no dots to indicate 'in-focus' areas. What am I doing wrong? Should I be in something other than 'Live view'? I'm using ML for stills photography.

Ok - sorted now.  I needed to press 'info' button when outside of ML menu in order to see the ML screen. Duh!
