Canon 5D MKII + Tamron 24-70 2.8 Follow Focus
« on: August 19, 2017, 10:43:52 AM »
Hey folks,

I wasn't able to find any helpful information concerning my issue. As you can see I'm using a 5D MK II with a Tamron SP 24-70 mm F/2.8 Di VC USD. I really like the Follow Focus feature or in other words I would love to use it the same way most tutorials do. My 'issue' is that even though I stick exactly to the tutorials, I wasn't able to use the Follow Focus function in a way that the output is a 'continuous changing focus'. It looks more like the lens is doing every single step from Start to End point and vice versa. So e.g. in the tutorial the Follow focus needs 2secs from Start to End point, in my case it needs for 30 steps round about 30sec.

So my question is if it's a common problem with that lens or (hopefully not) is the lens defective?

I hope you understand my issue and I would love to receive any helpful information from you.

Best,
sebastian
