how to enter crop mode 50d?

I press the + and get the first magnification try fiddling with resolution in raw 16:9 or 2.35 but the resolution is always 1500 × 880 ish.

1. am i in the crop mode?
2. why is the resolution always the same?
3. what am i doin wrong? ive heard 50d should do 1980×1020 in crop?

You have to enter crop mode, then go to magic lantern menu and change the raw recording settings.
You can go up to 1984x844 in 2.35 or 1920x1080 in 16:9 (but you should be able to have continuous recording as these frame sizes)

with entering crop mode, do you mean pressing 1 button on the + (zoom) button once? (you can press it twice)

mine seem stuck at 1538 x 887 something in 16:9 mode. eaven if i change to other aspect ratio while zoomed in?
