Shades of grey, black and white RAW?

Hi.
I'm currently using the crop 4K-on-steroids on a 700D  purchased for using ML and getting 2224x1008 RAW for about 20 seconds which of course is amazing, thanks ML team.

I take a lot of photos in bnw and wondered if  ML that did this and possibly save all that colour/color bandwidth? I turn the saturation to zero in Resolve currently which is wasting bits on colour/color.

Thanks

Exactly and it still wouldn't matter.
There is no data waste for color information if you're shooting raw.
Each pixel is 14 bits of information, doesn't matter if it represents a green, blue or red pixel...

The raw photos of a 24 megapixel Leica M monochrome are just as big as one from a 'normal' 24 megapixel Leica M that shoots photos in color.

Thanks for taking the time. Education is good.

I could have just compared the file of a bnw still to a color still and realized this?
