Kill FPS to focus, then turn on again

I love timelapse shooting with the FPS remap feature but focusing is hard and the auto focus can't do its job.

Could ML kill FPS and engage exposure compensation, when it detects a focus change (focus peaking on)? Then turn FPS back on when you stop focussing.

Probably an easy way would be to kill FPS when you press the shutter halfway (or the AF button).

I almost never use AF, so didn't feel the need for this.

Agreed  ::) but I often place the camera in a tight place or to low to view the screen so i rely on the AF for those times.
